A Couple of Interesting Takes on the Palin Phenomenon

I must say, if I were a lesbian I would be in love with Camille Paglia.

Here is here latest installment which is a must read for a dead on analysis of the Palin attraction: www.salon.com/opinion/paglia/2008/09/10/palin

And here is another interest angle from one of Melanie's current college professors: www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2008/09/09/palin_fundamentalist/index.html

I LOVE CAMILLE. LOVE HER. Everything that I want to say, but am to ineloquent and college to say for myself!

Juan, on the other hand, needs to chill out.
But it makes him a great lecturer: this class is wonderful.

THE THING ABOUT JUAN COLE THAT YOU NEED TO REALIZE, HOWEVER: There are maybe twelve people this nation has to offer that are in the position to relate the politics, the ideologies, and the fundamentals of the countries of the Middle East. Juan Cole just happens to be the foremost of the twelve, and self-admittedly. Thus, I must blindly admit his words as truths and follow him into the land of 4.0s. But as dad taught me, I am a great skeptic of Professor Cole. Like everyone, he is an individual with a particular world view and prerogative. As the premier scholar of the Middle East that the United States has to offer me (and for that matter Congress), I will only take his word with approximately three grains of salt. But hey, it's not like I could go stomping into Yemen and demand their National archives to see for myself.
